Donor-Advised Funds and Stock Transfers

What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you, and allows you to grant funds to charities of your choice. Two options are available:

Recommend a DAF through your financial institution or foundation

  • You can recommend a gift by contacting your financial institution or foundation.
  • The grant will arrive at Cancer Pathways with only the fund’s name and address on it, unless you request otherwise.

Contact your fund manager

  • Call your fund manager and recommend supporting Cancer Pathways, along with the amount of the grant.
  • Your fund manager will send a check directly to Cancer Pathways from your fund.
