Virtual Camp Sparkle

VIRTUAL CAMP SPARKLE

A message from your Camp Director:

In an effort to continue our commitment to families, we are excited to announce the launch of ‘Virtual Camp Sparkle.’ Our mission remains the same; to cultivate healing, joy, and friendship for kids and families impacted by cancer.

How virtual camp will work:

  • All programs and events will be available via Zoom or on our Cancer Pathways Youtube channel.
  • Online links will be sent out via email to registered families.
  • Families who have registered for the 2020 session of camp will be automatically enrolled in these programs.
  • Event dates are scheduled by geographic region; however, registered families can attend any of the scheduled events throughout the summer, regardless of their location.

Registration

As always, Camp Sparkle will be provided at no cost. We encourage all families, including those who have attended in the past and families who are new to Camp Sparkle, to register for our Virtual Camp Sparkle activities. If you have any questions, please email the Camp Director, Maddie Ritter.

VIRTUAL CAMP SPARKLE ACTIVITIES

Online Camp Activities

What would a Camp Sparkle summer be without singing, dancing and coming up with our own skits? We will be releasing Camp Sparkle Activity videos that can be done from the comfort of home. Videos will be posted on the Cancer Pathways Youtube Page. Stay tuned for live class events!

Show and Tell

One of the most powerful moments of Camp Sparkle is our Show and Tell day. Kids are encouraged to bring in a picture of the person in their life that has cancer to share with the group. We will continue to offer kids this opportunity to share their story. Show and Tell dates:

Seattle camp: July 10th at 10:00am
Tacoma camp: July 17th at 10:00am
Bellevue camp: August 7th at 10:00am
Everett camp: August 13th at 10:00am

Camp Sparkle Pen Pals

Let’s stay connected this summer! Kids and families will have the opportunity to send messages of hope and solidarity to other families facing cancer. Contact information will be provided monthly by the Camp Director beginning in May.

Talent Shows

Camp Sparkle Talent Shows and Open Mic Nights will be an opportunity for kids and teens to show off their skills!

Virtual Scrapbook

Camp Sparkle is all about community! So this summer we are going to build a virtual Camp Sparkle scrapbook. We invite all camp families, volunteers and partners to submit fun pictures from their summer to be added to our collective scrapbook. We want to collect moments of joy, resilience, and community. Everyone who contributes will get a digital copy to enjoy.

Parent Support Group

We encourage all Camp Sparkle parents to attend our ongoing support groups for families facing cancer. Learn more about our Families Living with Cancer and our Family Grief Group HERE.
