Family Cancer Support Program

Family Cancer Support Programs

Family Support Program

The Cancer Pathways Family Support Group provides emotional and social support to families dealing with cancer in the family. In our children’s group, we provide a safe space for children to identify and express their emotions, thoughts and questions related to cancer. Children participate in a guided art therapy project lead by a licensed Art Therapist. In our Parent Networking Group, we provide a safe space for parents to share and discuss the challenges they face when cancer is in the family. The parent group is also facilitated by a licensed clinician. Both groups meet once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm for 5 consecutive weeks and are offered free of charge. Children ages 6-12 who are currently impacted by cancer are eligible for the Children’s Art Therapy Group and parents with a child under the age of 18 who are dealing with cancer in the family are eligible. Pre-registration is required. The next session will begin February 27th, 2018. For more information contact Maddie Cody at 206-709-1400 or

New Retreat Just for Teens

The Spring Teen Retreat has been postponed. Check back for more details!

The Teen Retreat is a two day support program for teens ages 14-18 that have a family member with cancer or have cancer themselves. The purpose of this program is to provide a space for teens to identify and appropriately express emotions related to cancer. By connecting with other teens and learning to share their story we hope to normalize the very abnormal challenges of cancer. We want to ensure that no one, including teens, faces cancer alone. Activities will include Drama Therapy, poetry, cooking, social time with other teens and a movie. Meals will be provided. For more details and to register contact Maddie Cody at 206-709-1400 or
