Family Cancer Support Programs

Family Support Program

The Cancer Pathways Family Support Group provides emotional and social support to families dealing with cancer in the family. In our children’s group, we provide a safe space for children to identify and express their emotions, thoughts and questions related to cancer. Children participate in a guided art therapy project lead by a licensed Art Therapist. In our Parent Networking Group, we provide a safe space for parents to share and discuss the challenges they face when cancer is in the family. The parent group is also facilitated by a licensed clinician. Both groups meet once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm for 5 consecutive weeks and are offered free of charge. Children ages 6-12 are eligible for the Children’s Art Therapy Group and any parent with a child attending the art group is eligible for the Parent Networking Group. Pre-registration is required. The next session will begin February 27th, 2018. For more information contact Maddie Cody at 206-709-1400 or maddie@cancerpathways.org.
