Camp Sparkle

Healing, joy, and friendship for kids and teens in the face of cancer

What is Camp Sparkle?

Camp Sparkle is our free, summer day-camp for children ages 5-12 who have been impacted by cancer. Campers experience a week of learning about cancer, participating in therapeutic activities, going on field trips, and making friends with campers and counselors who are just like them. Each summer we serve 150-170 youths; since 2003, over 2,300 campers and counselors have participated in Camp Sparkle, held in Seattle, Bellevue, Everett and Tacoma.

What is Virtual Camp Sparkle?

In the summer of 2020, in-person camp was not possible due to the pandemic; however, we pivoted quickly and hosted five weeks of Virtual Camp Sparkle, designed to stay true to the spirit of Camp Sparkle – helping kids communicate the impact of cancer in their families and make new friends who share their experience, all while ensuring that they have a community to support them for years to come.

You can make a difference

We are committed to reducing the financial burden of cancer on families by offering our program free of charge. Consider making a donation to help us continue reaching as many families as possible with these services.

Teens volunteer counselors

We are looking for energetic, compassionate, and reliable volunteers to help us support children touched by cancer. Many past counselors are Camp Sparkle alumni and have told us that volunteering at our camp is just as therapeutic as being a participant. We accept both individuals and groups and have a variety of different ways to get involved. Contact us for more information about how to apply.
