Healing, joy, and friendship for kids and teens in the face of cancer
What is Camp Sparkle?
Camp Sparkle is our free, summer day-camp for children ages 5-12 who have been impacted by cancer. Campers experience a week of learning about cancer, participating in therapeutic activities, going on field trips, and making friends with campers and counselors who are just like them. Each summer we serve 150-170 youths; since 2003, over 2,300 campers and counselors have participated in Camp Sparkle, held in Seattle, Bellevue, Everett and Tacoma.
What is Virtual Camp Sparkle?
In the summer of 2020, in-person camp was not possible due to the pandemic; however, we pivoted quickly and hosted five weeks of Virtual Camp Sparkle, designed to stay true to the spirit of Camp Sparkle – helping kids communicate the impact of cancer in their families and make new friends who share their experience, all while ensuring that they have a community to support them for years to come.
