Culturally Inclusive Communication and Cancer Presented by Roy Fisher, MA, LMFT
September 29, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT
“I’m going to focus on understanding the inequities experienced by African Americans as it relates to cancer treatment. My goal is that the attendees will be open to having that kind of conversation about cancer. We can’t separate the person’s racial identity from their cancer diagnosis – yes, cancer doesn’t see race, but race may influence treatment outcomes.”
Roy Fisher, MA LMFT, has a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University. A dynamic speaker and educator in the field of equity and inclusion, Roy uses current events and humor to engage participants in critical thinking and spark ongoing dialogue.
