From 500K to 1M: Our Next Chapter of Support

Cancer Pathways was recently featured on KOMO News, highlighting the work of our Executive Director, Jessica Daughetee, and the impact of our programs across Washington state.

Jessica, a 3-time cancer survivor, stepped into her role in February after years in the corporate world. In the feature, she talks about her history with Cancer Pathways and the sense of community she feels every time she walks through our doors.

She now oversees all of our programs, including Camp Sparkle, our free summer day camp for kids and teens impacted by cancer, whether through their own diagnosis or that of a loved one. Cancer Pathways also provides counseling, support groups, kids' groups, and educational school-based programs, all free of charge.

As Jessica noted in the piece, demand for these services continues to grow. More people are living longer with a cancer diagnosis, which means more families need ongoing support long after treatment ends.

To date, Cancer Pathways has helped more than half a million people through the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and partners. Jessica's goal is to reach 1 million.

"I tend to be a person who sets big, audacious goals, and I tend to be a person who reaches those goals," she said.
